That is reasonable, I’ll gladly take it off your hands, we can work out details elsewhere. Luckily I know a guy that can either straighten or fabricate anew any bent parts.

Excellent! I did a few hours work a decade or more ago stripping off layers of solidified high sulphur cutting oil and other crap. ...and then bunged up the lead screw end cap, thus putting me back to zero.

it's maybe not THAT good, but all of the parts that were removed are in a metal bin immediately behind the lathe bed. Oh, I forgot to tell you the catch: you have to unbolt the lathe from the bench yourself. It MAY be possible to access the bolt heads from below. or not
