While I remain philosemitic, I'm not sure it's a "tiny percent" of Jews who are socialist.
90% of US Jews voted for FDR, who imposed socialism on the US.
~80% of American Jews vote for Dems in the current year.

My critique of your argument is that you are assuming here (which you don't do elsewhere) that voting is a thought-out ideological commitment as opposed to "MUH TRIBE" lemming politics based on feels or "which candidate likes me" or "which candidate do I like"?

Substantively, as opposed to Coolidge (who was an excellent president), Hoover was terrible and also a socialist. (See the work of Amity Schlaes, among others). It's hard for me to grok that voting for FDR (but not Hoover) makes one a socialist.

There's a pretty good book by Norman Podhoretz called "Why are Jews Liberal?" that may be helpful. I'll dig it out when I get home.

Replying to @Tuneburg @BostonDelendEst and
Going through Podhoretz's analysis, many Jewish immigrants in the late 19th century saw in Marxism/Socialism a way to "emancipation" Going to try and excerpt those pages:pic.twitter.com/irUs1tWZXf

yeah, and Israel was largely socialist when founded it's not anti-semitic to say "large percent of Jews c. 1880 - 1950 were quite inclined towards socialism" ; it's just factual
