it is morally wrong to deem large sections of the incompetent, criminal, or undesirable, and the political belief that you’d be better off living in a society without them is a dangerous one

> it is morally wrong to deem...sections of the incompetent, criminal, or undesirable, says who? not me. I think it's fine, and factually correct. > the political belief that you’d be better off living in a society without them is a dangerous one do you live in the ghetto?

mate it’s morally wrong because a person’s innate human dignity and moral worth are not conditional on whether you decide that they are a good contributor or not

I didn't say that they don't have moral worth. I just said that I deem them undesirable. And even if I did, why do your particular morals trump mine? At least when fundamentalists argue in circles they cite "BUT MY BIBLE SAYS!!!". You're just saying "BUT I SAY!!!" who cares?

my point remains: declaring people to be “undesirables” and wishing to exist in a society without them are political beliefs uncomfortably close to fascism. that is bad. fascism is bad. idk what else to say

> wishing to exist in a society without them are political beliefs uncomfortably close to fascism. I never did get an answer to "do you live in the ghetto?". Do you? If not, why not? Isn't it literally close to fascism for you to choose to live in a low crime / white area?

not really mate. not living somewhere is a hell of a lot different from believing that the people who live in that place are ‘undesirables’ who society would be better off without. and also, not that it matters, but i haven’t really had much choice in where i live

I didn't say "society" would be better off without them. I said that I wanted to live away from them. So apparently I am a fascist (or have "fascist energy") for stating it aloud, but you ACTUALLY DO IT YOURSELF, but that's ok? Seriously, what's the difference?

oh for the love of god the problem is with the attitude that people can be easily categorised into undersibale and desirable - that is what ive identified

are you attracted to ALL women? would you hire EVERY candidate for an open job? everyone categorizes people, all the time ; not sure why you're pretending that this is some fringe fascist thing?

there is an obvious and meaningful difference between categorising job applicants and declaring millions of people to be incompetents, criminals, and fundamentally undesirable.
