2/ I'm sort of surprised that, given the salaries, more people don't choose to become pro basketball players. All you've got to do is sink around 99% of shots, out dribble opponents, and have extreme cardiovascular fitness. Not sure why sports industry mythologizes these ppl.

4/ Every subculture valorizes itself. "We runners are so INTENSE". "We crafts people are so CREATIVE and SKILLED." "We sports stars are so FIT and DEDICATED". To crap on a subculture bc it self-glamorizes is kinda lame. Gonna force teachers to scrape off their bumperstickers?

I am the first to admit, I cannot code. Those that can appear to me to be, essentially, magical f-ing wizards. I mean this as the highest of compliments.

I remember doing a “Hello, world!” in jr high in heaven knows what language. When everyone else was feeling proud of themselves I was thinking “fcuk this noise.”
