how do we enforce things now? how do we enforce the second amendment? Answer is: we don't. The gov violates the 2A with impunity, and there's nothing we can do. ...so what good is voting?

Sure we do. We have oppositional branches of government. Congress is pretty useless for this purpose, but the courts are where it's supposed to be fought. And that fight is occurring. It just doesn't happen overnight. And sometimes you lose.

I have long been a supporter of the phrase that "if voting was effective, it would be illegal; if voting was ineffective, it would be illegal." Just because you can't imagine how to get something done doesn't mean it can't be done or won't be done.
