Security lines at most airports are high density and would be easy to target, including with bioweapons. If you're good you could probably get away with it and repeat it too.

(At the risk of adding us to more watchlists) But which one has a more terroristic impact, not in numbers but in psychic damage? Another plane bomb/building crash/plain old hijacking or a few hundred dead in a relatively public place?

I think a key difference is if you get away with it you can credibly threaten all the airports and shut down a lot more of the country, it's also a lot more terrifying if the terrorists are living among us. America is full of roads and no internal checkpoints or movement controls

Getting employed there isn't even neccesary for that, there's no one who's gonna stop you from walking up to the mall and most likely wouldn't even notice you putting stuff in a corner by the doors or whatever

There’s an extremely large list of ways to kill lots of people in America with minimal difficulty that aren’t currently guarded against merely because no one has tried them yet. The 9/11 guys were much bigger assholes than they were murderers. 3000 dead, 300M fucked with.

I found all of the "NO ONE could have predicted this !!1!!" re 9/11 to be retarded I made a list of such modes of terrorism when I was like 9 or so (started when I drove past LaGuardia airport and realized that a VW minibus with a mortar in the back could shut down air travel)

The Columbine shooters had flying a jet into the twin towers as a goal. Steven King has something similar at the end of Running Man (the novela)
