I have quite a few books on my shelf written by authors whose politics I despise, but I didn't run out to burn them when I found out because I'm not a Nazi/commie.
There is no way that I would enjoy having dinner with Charles Stross (because it would probably go as well as my dinner with Michael Moorcock), but I'm not about to pass up on the opportunity to read and enjoy another Laundry book.
I wonder if the inability to get by someone's personal attributes to enjoy their work is correlated with other social choices in their lives. It seems to be common among people I don't trust the opinions of.
