22/ DM: I wanted to give a personal endorsement for CBT from someone who was a therapy skeptic, received CBT, and found it very effective. As a technical person the goal-oriented nature of the approach appealed to me.

30/ So the message is clear: * get your self a Christian kink-positive therapist * don't get a therapist, go to your pastor * don't go to a pastor, just read some books and CBT yourself * skip those gay books and just squat heavy and get a tradwife

Never had to deal with this myself. My takeaway from the advice I've seen that I trust is: switch mental health professionals freely and often until you find one that works for you. Use one that can and will prescribe meds and will work to find the meds that work for you.
