Anyone want to guess how many sunflowers are required to harvest a full quart of sunflower seeds?

2/ One. One sunflower yields a quart of seeds. Processed 5 flower heads just now, so have > 1 gallon seeds. More than enough for MASSIVE planting next year. Maybe 100 flowers still out there. Not sure if I'll bother to harvest seeds. Maybe another gallon, to roast & salt?

Not worth removing seeds from heads, but worth cutting heads off and letting chickens do the work!
