Anyone want to guess how many sunflowers are required to harvest a full quart of sunflower seeds?

2/ One. One sunflower yields a quart of seeds. Processed 5 flower heads just now, so have > 1 gallon seeds. More than enough for MASSIVE planting next year. Maybe 100 flowers still out there. Not sure if I'll bother to harvest seeds. Maybe another gallon, to roast & salt?

3/ Yes, edible. Note that they're F1, which means a hybrid that does not breed true. So if I plant these, the next generation will be...somewhat random. https://www.johnnyseeds.com/flowers/sunflowers/tall-sunflowers/royal-hybrid-1121-sunflower-f1-sunflower-seed-2603.html …

Seeds were damp. I mean, not DAMP damp, but damp as in "just harvested from a flower". Stuck them in the food dehydrator w fan on and heat off for 24 hours.
