eh ; as a guy who spends a non zero amount of time around tools, I LIKE roll over protection on my tractor, safety guards on my angle grinders, fall protection when I'm in a tree, a helmet when I'm under one and chainsawing to each their own, but I choose activity + safety https://t.co/px26SAXC0P

actually maybe that's #2 and #1 is the weird set of scars on the thumb/index finger web of my left hand if I shape the hand as if it's holding a block of wood at the compound mitre saw, various scars line up in the shape of the edge of a mitre saw blade that was an exciting day

wood pinched the blade, the blade stopped dead, the energy got dumped into torque on the saw arm, which ripped at the cast iron base, which shattered, and the motor and blade flopped over sideways ONTO my left hand FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

I used to work with a guy with a very slight crescent scar in the middle of his forehead. I asked him about it. Turns out he was knocking bracing out of new construction by swinging upwards, hit himself in the middle of the forehead with a framing hammer, knocked himself out.
