It's really too much work to grow onions when you can buy ten pounds for a couple bucks.

Things that don’t store well, and thus get picked unripe to ship, I can tell a big diff. Corn immediately off the stalk has a HUGE diff due to the sugar > starch conversion that begins the second its picked. But onions, garlic, potatoes? Nah.

Potatoes yes because there are many varieties but only a few available in stores.

Tomatoes though...even canned tomatoes taste better than store bought. It cant just be me..right..right?

But if you grow and dry your own hot peppers they will taste better. Also home grown apples (because of variety) and beans are better too.
