17/ > I'm going to hell for believing Genesis "The refiner's fire" does not refer to Hell, it refers to God's purification. You HAVE opened the Bible, right? Please open it again and see Malachi 3:3 No, you will suffer the refiner's fire bc you preach that God hates people.

18/ "The refiner's fire" is not hell, nor is it everlasting. Look, I thought I was debating someone who had read the Bible and understood a few simple things about Christianity, and I guess I was mistaken. https://twitter.com/arthos_online/status/1167129468520910853 …

19/ You're as bad at reading and comprehending my tweets as you are at reading and comprehending the Bible. I believe in Hell. I also believe in the refiner's fire. Read the Bible, friend, there's good stuff in there and it will cure your ignorance. https://twitter.com/arthos_online/status/1167130178926985216 …

20/ I guess hating people - and asserting that God hates people too, in defiance of all Christian theology - is more fun than actually reading / learning ? https://twitter.com/jabocka/status/1167131630328324096 …

22/ I cite Malachi 3:3, I do NOT make a reference to Purgatory, and
@arthos_online starts to get angry at m̶e̶ the Bible for disagreeing with him.

23/ Q: what do journalists and crappy reactionary Christians have in common? A: they start out with a conclusion and then go to the sources to fish for just enough data to flesh our their chosen narrative ... NOT to learn what the sources actually say.

26/ I do not speak for the Sanhedrin,so I don't care at all. However, do note that the Sanhedrin had civil, religious, and criminal authority, which is quite unlike the western Christian norms of state and religious authority as two distinct things. https://twitter.com/MuhPoem/status/1167150842719420421 …

27/ I'm not moving the goal posts at all. My goal post since the beginning of this thread has been "God doesn't hate sinners; he hates sin". You care about a bit of Old Covenant law (which I, as a Christian, don't) and are upset that I disagree w you. https://twitter.com/MuhPoem/status/1167153441472466944 …

Replying to @MorlockP @arthos_online
Judaism also doesn't have the same relation with sin/punishment Christianity has, though "it's complicated" is the extent to how I can speak authoritatively. My understanding is we basically just have a painful purgatory to repent for sins.

And that "time served" in this life (e.g. humiliation, reconciliation, apology, poverty) also count to cleanse you as well.
