You have to wonder how many introverts are actually introverts. It's not a surprise that non-neurotypicals behave introverted when they are surrounded by neurotypicals, and are not even themselves particularly equivalent. I wonder how many are simply people without a people.

In one of the Foundation Novels the "heroes" looking for Earth find a planet with some Spacers that never see another in person, just run their automated farms/factories and communicate electronically. This was supposed to be "bad" or something… Not to every reader., though.

I absolutely remember this. I think it was actually one of the pre-Foundation novels like "Pebble in the Sky" or something? ...but this is activating brain cells that haven't been touched in ~40 years, so ...
