Participating in a group technical interview this morning. I have two questions prepared: 1) Please describe the Dependency Injection pattern. 2) Now tell me like I'm five.

It's my favorite pattern to teach, because it goes completely against everything someone's taught in most programming classes. Especially when it's triggered by attributes. "No, no, don't new-up a class, just say you want one." "But ... who creates" "Deus in machina, my son."

At the request of HR, I stopped saying: "So add this attribute and then ObjectBuilder will take your class into the corner and do things to it."
