When one was out injecting Knotweed I got a good view of road pasture. DANG, that pasture needs a ton of work. It's 25% weeds, 50% poison ivy & other non-grass ground cover, maybe 25% good pasture hay. Need to burn brush piles, till the whole thing, broadcast seed, cultipack.

5/ Right? Me: comes up with 9 step plan that satisfies 12 different constraints. Twitter advice: yeah but have you thought about creating a chemical warfare incident and getting sued?https://twitter.com/WhippleMarc/status/1160357485548572672?s=19 …

6/ Sheep are basically goats with different fur. We've had sheep on that pasture for two years. The whole "just put pigs / goats / whatever there" advice is much repeated, little tested.https://twitter.com/Bound_Unicorn/status/1160363348803936256?s=19 …

Burning that much poison ivy seems like a bad idea. Like, really bad. Super bad.

(I was a Boy Scout. I distinctly recall being warned not to burn any plants in the poison sumac family.)

Obviously bad idea when it's green. In the fall/winter after the leaves have all dropped (or probably better early spring after first melt), presuming its not bone dry at the time, is doable. Burning the green leaves is evil, but I'm deathly allergic to the crap.
