Worst part about losing weight is that you can't DO something to make it happen. If I need to clean the garage I can go clean the garage. If I need to install a new hard drive I can install a new hard drive. If I need to lose a hundred pounds I have do nothing and wait.

Really, the same thing is true about getting in shape (i.e. getting strong). You can lift every two or three days and that's it. You can't spend all day lifting for a couple of weeks and get it over with. You can't check the box and say "Okay, done, what's next?" You gotta wait.
