I've got blisters / missing skin on the web of each thumb, a big bruise on one forearm, and poison ivy up and down one arm. Ahh, farm life! So relaxing! Getting in touch with nature! Just you and the great outdoors!

We don’t own a farm, but my wife and I own woodland property in southern IN. Just this weekend we were running through the list of Mother Nature’s little joys: ticks, deerflies, chiggers, spiders (varieties galore), snakes (some venomous), Yellowjackets in hidden nests, ants...

sticker bushes in vast array, nettles, unidentified thorny plants, centipedes and millipedes, mosquitoes, wasps and other flying things that can’t hurt you but you don’t want flying into you. They rule the woods. Humans are unwelcome guests.
