to be fair, many months I paid $10k against my mortgage principle ...but I also intended to pay off a monster mortgage on a big farm in ~ 5 years. ...and I did.

Where do they live with a 10k per month mortgage? Unless it is a family of 10, 100 per day for food is crazy, and what sort of driving record does one need to have to pay 500 per month for car insurance?

Looks like it started with buying far too much house and everything else was excess on top of that. Like maybe they should have gone with the merely big house for a few years and saved up to have a big down on the mansion they really wanted.
