At no point ever should a Court's edict be considered law. That's Congress' job.

It's Congress' job to say what the 1st Amendment means? To decide what the limits on the Commerce Clause power are? To adjudicate disputes between the states? Interesting argument.

Letting the court find penumbras and emanations whenever convenient is so much better. Commerce Clause. What a joke.

Your first sentence is a strawman. Your second is non-responsive; should Congress be allowed to determine the limits on its own power? Because that seems to be literally what you're advocating.

You're confusing a large number of distinct doctrinal concepts into the imprecise and vague phrase "the court's authority over law".

You can either be precise, or not. If you're not, that's on you, and I'll pick it apart. Your choice.

When I first met Frank, a couple of years ago at most, I had to leave shortly after. One of the many reasons I found it sad was because I had such a good time back then picking Frank's very honest brain. For me it's like fresh air instead of the sharts I normally get.

The thing to understand about Frank is that he's a human compiler. If you don't care for -Wall then don't run your ideas past him.

I'm a big fan of -Wall / -Werror
That said, sometimes g̶c̶c̶ / @BostonDelendEst needs to be given a few stiff shots of whisky so one can just do a loose interpretive dance / bit of Ruby coding
