One of the AC units in the in-laws house, where I’m staying, is on the fritz. It’s hot as ballz at night. I tried sleeping on the floor in the coolest room. Another miserable night of sleep.

Awful dreams. There are nightmares and then their are crushing replays of self-doubt dreams. 10/10 misery

Thanks. It was weird in that it’s usually stuff I’ve tamped down.the doubts faded fast upon waking, except for the memory of feeling crushingly sad.

Earlier in the week I dreamed about my grandfather's hammer, which he passed down to my dad, and my dad passed to me. In the dream, I was in my 70s and passed it on to my son. Then I realized that I have no sons and won't. I staggered around destroyed for the next two days.

I've got three nieces and one nephew. If one of the nieces turns into a tomboy, that's a possibility. The newphew is on a branch of the family I don't talk to. Over the coming decades will keep an eye on sons of friends, to see if any of them are worthy.
