I've seen this argument before, and it strikes me as sperg wankery and a vast over reliance on formalism. We all know how it actually happens in practice - we perceive a few things and then our evolved brains solve for some sort of short hand set. No REALM OF TRUTH needed.
Concur! But I think the attempt at formalism is done at too basic of a level / too quickly by philosophers. Like Greeks trying to build things out of 4 elements. In fact, electrons, protons, and neutrons are pretty simple, but a LOT of complexity tween here and there.
