my folks live in FL and people down there have basically this installed over their sliding glass doors. Hurricane season blast shields, basically. They use * outside mounted * unpowered * uninsulated For your application, I'd prob use the same...except maybe insulated.

my thoughts * outside mounted means that anyone pushing on doors is pushing them AGAINST / INTO concrete, not putting tension strain screws * mo powered mo troubles. But...if they have remotes, then hell yes. Remote garage doors are sweet * insulated bc work there over winter
