The population of the CSA in 1865 was 9 million. The population of red districts in 2019 is ~ 150 million. ...and it's been 150 years. Maybe this time the blue tribers blink at the idea of killing 3% of the US population? (probably not...but maybe!)https://twitter.com/Nate_McMurray/status/1143848741012721665 …

That guy is trolling. He's in Western New York State, too. Get 10 minutes out side of Rochester or Buffalo, and he'd just disappear.

"Ha, ha! We have the money and you have a lot of the welfare cases!" "Ha, ha! We have literally all the food."

It is an exaggeration for humor, and they won't starve. But what does happen is that the price for food goes up significantly to the point where the lowest income urbanites feel it severely. And then the riots start, because that's what low-income urbanites do.

>it's an argument that dozens of people make every day Someone who desires exit has an incentive to perpetuate it even if it isn't strictly true, in order to agitate the opposition to also desire exit just to prove us wrong.

I have no problem w some red rando saying bullshit to some blue rando. I get quite irritated when some red rando says it to me because (a) it is false (b) it is dumb (c) a + b = wastes my time Which brings us full circle: you said this to me. Why? To "agitate the opposition"?
