Built a shelf for the garage. Single shelf, 6' wide, 22" deep, welded 1" square tube frame, 3/4" plywood bottom, hangs on a French cleat. Finally, some place to put tractor hydraulic fluid, tractor oil, car oil, riding mower oil, gear oil, oil filters, fuel filters, air filters >

7/ Doesn't look like much, but was a hassle. * rearrange workshop to make room * carry 20' of iron from barn * remove French cleat * make new one that's longer, spans window, has two depths bc window molding is proud of wall * measure, diagram, plan * cut 8 parts * grind rustpic.twitter.com/vTlEwp1WS9

* drill 6 holes in steel * weld all parts, using 90° magnets * cut shelf plywood * cut shelf mating French cleat * attach shelf floor and shelf cleat through holes with screws and lag bolts * etc All this trivial crap (a shelf? Yawn.) takes work.

Just stop with your garage porn. I haven't seen the floor in mine own for 10 years. Nice work, though.
