I don't think you're the target audience. It's the people who complain they can't save for retirement while sipping on a $5 orange mocha latte or whatever. It's trying to get people to understand prioritisation.

It's an indulgence that makes Life nicer. You cannot put a price tag on that in my view. Same thing for restaurants & fast food. Clearly cheaper to eat at home. So Do it in moderation. BTW the major convenience stores make a great cup of coffee and do it cheaper than Starbucks.

You're not the audience. You're smart with money, so have what you need and can afford luxuries. The audience is those who can't afford basics, bitching about inequality & not making ends meet while sipping $5 mochas daily "because I deserve it".

For $1000, one can get 150 lbs (roasted weight) exotic green coffee beans from http://sweetmarias.com , a $3 popcorn popper from Goodwill, pouches to put 1/4 lb batches in, and a website for ordering "fresh roast, next day delivery, $25/lb". Net profit: $600.

It’s not about the coffee, it’s about getting out of the building they work and live in

If you waste money on spending, it's like not saving.
