I agree that there are no huge conspiracies, but this argument is bad / uses bad data. Let's pretend the Moon landing was a hoax. It's not 411,000 people who have to keep the secret. My big thing with the moon landing, which I didn't used to think, is that we know the media/gov lies. All the time. Reflexively. So the landing is a "Hoax" in that we know the official story is wrong. We just don't know what bits.

Was the first landing faked to time pressure and then the future landings succeed? Maybe we launched several rockets at the same time and only reported on the one that didn't blow up. Part of the problem is the binary thinking involved.
