I'm tempted to say "always use a torque wrench", but I almost never do. (except for putting AR-15 barrels on) On the bright side, I know the trick about MIG welding a nut onto the stub of the broken bolt...
MIG or TIG? I'd assume the latter for that ... want a TIG someday, but no pressing need (want a plasma cutter too, but ...)
