Nine princes in amber is good although fantasy instead of sci-fi. The Long Earth is neat but has weak characters/plot. There’s a lot more inter dimensional trade and stuff in Ward, the sequel to Worm.

I only finally muscled up the effort to finish the third book after reading some Zelazny where the "fantasy characters waltz into tech-world" stuff is done well enough that I could at least see what HDM was trying at.
