I like that when John Wick was doing the car chase at the end and he smashed into the car he was chasing and made it spin out, he didn't just smash into the car he was chasing.. He executed a textbook PIT maneuver, exactly like a trained pursuit-and-intercept driver would do.

The film was FULL of details like this. The gunplay, the fights, every bit of it constantly felt like it was the real deal. No John Woo gun fu (not that there's anything wrong with that). No slow-mo. No spray and pray. Just look, aim, shoot, and do it again.

And yet somehow without including any Hollywood action shots, it all added up to a cinematic spectacle of jaw-dropping proportions. Remarkable.

Ever watch any of the videos of Reeves doing live fire training for the movies?
