5 1/2 years in and just getting the hang of it (we're not farming for profit; just a hobby farm where we raise our own eggs / mutton / pork / fruits / veggies )

very nice! We've done goats, switched to sheep. Would love to get milk, but don't have the time in the day to do it (wife and I both work full time at day jobs). I do butcher my own pork and lamb tho.

nope, jumped in the deep end of the pool: got three piglets, let them grow far too big (~600 lbs each), then shot and butchered them I slipped on ice and broke a rib soon after I started, so had to keep working at the task for a whole week with a broken rib. !@#--ing sucked
