3/ Take a peek inside reddit /r/legaladvice, or relationships, or whatever. There are all of these putatively real adults who ... just can't seem to think. It's amazing. I've been getting very depressed re this topic recently.

I mean, most things *are* g-loaded right? but at the same time it's proper and good that life doesn't strictly require you to be a genius, and there's a problem to the extent modern life *does* increasingly require this (fucking health insurance, how does it work)

I know someone who teaches at a kind of down trodden community college. He sees it. I saw it growing up rural and I see it now living downtown, close to less than desirable areas.

I found our town building inspector and local zoning board meeting enlightening. Zoning Board lead guy is apparently a retired engineer. ...at big defense contractor. I think he's used to swinging his big +1 SD around and was surprised that he'd brought penknife to swordfight.
