Eh, just 2nd grade pine ("premium", not "select"). No hard wood, no face frames, no finish. Simple, rustic, everyman style bookshelves. ...but decently made.

Wife helped me measure the diagonols. Square to within 1/16th of an inch, over an 80-90" span. Good enough. Beyond that, wood flexibility is greater than measuring precision.
