6/ I suspect that the folks who like my writing would say "yes, 50 year copyright for Morlock!" That's an argument for why long copyright is better than short.

My take: I won't quibble with the maths although I doubt your sales will be linear. Pitching it at a level where you write more books is reasonable. Disrupting the 100th anniversary of Ulysses because his useless grandson wants to get paid, is not reasonable.

... and different creations have a different shelf life. A longer life for books than music is reasonable. Performers should still get paid when they perform years later. If you want copyright in computer software, you have to support the software.
