What I took her to mean is "should the 1A be robust enough that a murder video doesn't break it?" or "should 2A survive a spree killing?" or "should 5A survive 9/11?" or drug war or ...

None of those are Black Swans, with the possible exception of actually live-streaming crimes for political purposes. That one I'll grant you would have been a bit outside context for the Framers.

But then the question of what it means to "break" the 1A arises. Do you mean that it should prompt us to amend the 1A? To disregard it?
