but it's not JUST adverse selection; evaporative cooling = ITERATED adverse selection (that said, yeah, he's a tool)

If there's an example of adverse selection that functions as a one-off I'd be curious to hear what it is. Markets iteratively converging to a new equilibrium is the basic behavior described by the label.
