The more I think about it, the more surprised I am nobody tried this. The low magic/individual location hit point system would make for deep play, and the ritual system is like a built-in guild architecture. Also, there are broo.

Call of Cthulhu always had a bigger draw, and Greg Stafford seems to have been his own worst enemy as far as popularizing Glorantha goes.

I dunno if I'd even recommend diving down that rabbit hole. The trail of broken jumping-on points over the years... I love Glorantha to bits but I dunno where to start. Probably https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_of_Dragon_Pass …, even though it's a video game.

Eh. I don't play vidya. But I do buy and read old paper RPGs.

Then I'd start with https://www.chaosium.com/cults-of-prax-pdf/ …, even though it's not a full game.

Some of the greatest RPG fluff ever written is in that book, and in this one: https://www.chaosium.com/cults-of-terror-pdf/ … The myth cycle of Arkat is still something I think about a lot.

If you want more after that, this is deep, difficult, brilliant and weird as hell:https://www.chaosium.com/king-of-sartar-ebook/ …
