I call it the Naughties because it’s got everything: - consonance with every decade from 2-9 - Brits understand it - Americans don’t - sly, playful, slightly lewd play on words

what’s also interesting is everyone knows we’re in the Teens but no one ever talks about it back in the 90s, not anday went by that I didn’t hear or read ‘the 90s’. Who ever says “that’s just how it is in the Teens”?

I find it super odd that we've for 1/5 of a century without having names for the decades. 20s, 30s, 40s...I lived through the 70s, 80s, 90s. We used the term ALL THE TIME. The 200ex's were basically called "the post 9/11 world". I wonder if we've broken habit, or if "20s"
