Only privacy issue I can think of would be if rental logs get leaked. John Doe, total rental time 25 minutes. Bob Smith, total rental time 20 minutes. Bill Jones, total rental time 2 minutes. Womp womp.
Oh the logs will be much more detailed than that, especially if you want to improve the experience for repeat customers. It could easily become blackmail material.
