I have that level of hunger several times a day when EATING carbs. Dropping them, and my hunger no longer goes to 11 - capped at about a 4-5.

The crazy part is realising how much we don't know. Once you realize most nutrition stuff is epidemiology (food surveys, aka the short bus of science) or some Black Box hypothesis testing, you understand that a lot of what is "known" is mostly (sorta) educated guesses.
