Another commenter has mentioned Klingon. But will Dogs still speak using English words? I assume the changes made to allow Dogs to speak would cause certain sounds made by dogs to be difficult if not impossible to reproduce.

Also, would Dogs limit themselves to just one language? I'm thinking of the Dolphins in David Brin's Uplift series: Primal, Trinary & Anglic. Would dogs even be considered to have their own language tho? Are Dogs able to understand dogs?
