Also, it was two 5' linear seams into a 3"x3" tube. I stitched each side (3" every 1'), then came back and filled in. The whole thing may not have been PRE heated, but it was damned well HEATED by the end. I kept a close eye on the puddle and think penetration is

Also, repair is to top of bucket. Bucket had a rolled lip, for strength, but over years the rolled edge crumbled then ripped. Took all strength out of top edge. I cut it off, put on the tube, used C clamps on tube to bend top edge into place. 20x sturdier than original.
