2/ Tractor bucket is done. Bucket was bent down 3" in center. Cut tube slightly over length, placed on top of bucket between flanges, hammered into position. Used mondo C clamps, working in from edges, to bring bucket to tube. Stitch welded as I went.

3/ Then stitch welded other edge of tube to bucket. Went back and did a continuous weld on each edge. 2 x 5' Then made templates for open ends of tube (not just 3" X 3" square, bc bucket has flanges partially filling that space. Cut, welded in place. Welded chain hook on top.

4/ Wife wheeled whole thing, then - bc too cold for primer and paint - rubbed oil over all the clean metal. Will leave it like that til spring, then clean w acetone, prime, and paint.

Errr... "WIRE wheeled" the steel, not "wife wheeled".
