Am reading about communes/utopian communities. There are lots of religious examples and socialist examples. Are there libertarian examples, or is that something of a contradiction in terms? (serious answers appreciated)

Yeah, there are examples. Some 19th-century intentional communities were libertarian or proto-libertarian (the most notable being Modern Times). More recently there have been some "new country projects," which all bellyflopped. And loosely organized efforts like Free Keene.

oh, Keene. I'm in NH with lots of FSP acquaintances, and even this band of weirdos and oddballs calls the Keene folks "Keeniacs"
