Author friends say "boost engagement by setting up an email newsletter". But...I don't write fiction quickly, I don't have a ton of time to READ fiction (bc farm), and I'm on twitter....so what new content? Misc life stuff & random thoughts? Would you sub to a 4-12 / yr email?

4/ OK, I've been wrestling with mailchimp for an hour or two. TLDR: if you've got a http://yahoo.com email addr, please go back and re-sign up http://morlockpublishing.com/email-signup/ Longer version: Mailchimp bitched about low quality (spam?) addrs; visual inspection showed yahoo bad

5/ So just to move forward AT ALL, I purged 100% of the yahoo email addresses from my mailing list. Lost 60% of the list size (which actually suggests that, yeah, there was spam there, bc I doubt that 60% of legit signups used yahoo).

I’ll sign because the heat death of twitter appears inevitable.

Twitter never sent me this thread until just now! So I missed the vote. I'll be signing up for it if you do it. I hope you include your thoughts on politics and gov't.... and maybe The Church.

are you signed up now?

4/ OK, this newsletter project is on hold for a little while. Looks like I need to sign up with http://neverbounce.com and have them purge my mailing list, then upload the purged list to mailchimp. Have done 2 hours of !@#-ing with list tools, 0 hours of writing a newsletter
