14/ I've met Larry two or three times. I've sat down and eaten dinner with him. He's he most charming and nice and skilled guy you'd ever want to meet. ...but it's bad for a very wide genre to be split into two halves, and to be simplified into two camps and two totems.

What hasn't changed is time... and the astonishing range of things to pay attention to... which leads to shortcutting, and reliance on taste makers. And that leads to suffering, I mean, more polarization, IMHO.
