2018 is wrapping up. Amazing year. Built a boundary wall, planted trees, paid off farm, bought a printing press, harvested veggies, slaughtered and processed pigs, started retirement savings, won the Prometheus, hosted the best HUN yet, did good & fascinating work at two firms.

2/ Not sure what 2019 holds. Current firm might renew, or not. Two headhunters for remote work called in last week. A local firm has pinged me. ...but also considering another 3 month sabbatical to work on novels 3 & 4. Might keep farming constant, or ramp down for one year.

3/ Need to get back to the gym, because HONESTLY. HUN VI coming up. Going to rent an excavator again, get another 30 cubic yards of stone, and improve the front boundary wall. Also plant more evergreens along that wall, as a visual barrier (in 5 years).

4/ Will end this winter with merely 15 cords / 1 year of firewood left, so may get another two logging trucks of wood and process that this coming summer. ...but before that, may pour a concrete slab & pier foundation for (eventual) roof over firewood.

Best thing I ever did was build a woodshed. Trying to get your wood from under a frozen tarp in February sux. I had some big hemlock that I cut and hauled to the mill and built it all out of that. Steel roof.
