2/ And I could cut off that 5' flange with cut off wheels on a 4" angle grinder...but I'd prob spend an hour doing so, and go through half a dozen 5-packs of wheels. I may have just talked myself into this.

3/ That said, plasma cutters are not cheap (~$1+k), and I've already done by budget for all of 2019, and - WITHOUT buying a plasma cutter - I'm already ~ $20k under water. So...

Cool. I'm not an electrician, but I've installed subpanels before. Here in NH I've got a nice setup: * power in to primary panel * ...feeds into whole house invert <-> battery bank <->generator * inverter feeds into secondary panel * primary panel feeds workshop subpanel

* primary panel also feeds via underground to barn subpanel * have conduit in place so primary also feeds via underground to garden shed
