Fired up the wood "boiler" yesterday to heat the house...and...it's hot, but it's not heating the house. Tentative theory: the pump that recirculates water is broken. Motor is fine (I heat it spinning) but maybe impeller is stuck. Plumber confirmed, over phone, theory as likely.

2/ Hit the pump body w a wrench a few times (his advice) and have it running now, to see if temp on loop climbs from 80 (right now) to something closer to 180 (temp of water jacket on boiler outside). If so: great, done. >>>

Advantage of latter: if that's NOT it, then he's here w skills to move to theory 2, 3, 4...
