I read mixed reactions to the Honduran nationals on their way northward. I have seen no proposals to assist them on their way to the Canadian border.

Getting 5000 people from El Paso to Sweet Grass, Montana can't be any more difficult than the logistics of, say, a middling-sized protest in the District of Columbia.

It's contemptibly cruel to oblige them to walk all that way, particularly considering the distance they've already traveled. By bus, they can arrive safe and secure on Canadian soil in under three days.

Come to think of it, considering the relative violent crime rates between Canada and the US, it seems that the humane thing to do is to create a permanent underground railroad for anyone arriving from the southern border. Asylum should be safe.
